On April 30th MTV Networks launched the new television channel Comedy Central. Due to the success in the United States and the recent successful launches in Poland and Germany, Comedy Central can now also be seen in The Netherlands. Comedy Central airs as of April 30th between 8 pm and 2 am and replaces the channel The BOX Comedy, which in turn replaced The BOX.
Comedy Central is the “one stop destination for comedy”, where viewers can always get their daily dose of entertainment and relaxation. The channel will air national and international comedy in all genres such as sitcoms, animation, talk shows, standup comedy and movies. Comedy Central: We’ve Got Comedy.

Comedy Central brings awarded US television shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Office US, The Daily Show, Scrubs, That 70s Show and South Park but also new US television shows such as Reno 911!, The Showbizz Show and Dog Bites Man. Besides airing US comedies, the channel will also air British comedy such as Teachers and Peep Show. In Last Comic Standing and World Stands Up you’ll see the best stand up and improvised comedy.
Comedy Central, originally from the United States, an all-comedy network that is part of MTV Networks. In the US the channel is in the top 10 of most appreciated television networks for adults between 18 and 49 years old.
The new site is pretty basic, but it has all the information a Comedy Central viewer will need such as extensive program information, TV guides and even a video on demand service. The website was made in just a few days and I was responsible for both the development and the graphic design.
I am currently co-owner (and designer) at Superhero Cheesecake and used to work as Senior Designer Digital Media at MTV Networks. I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I was born in 1983 and in 2007 I received my Bachelor of Engineering in Mediatechnology at the Hogeschool Utrecht, University of Applied Sciences.
